Food Pantry of alpine

 

The Food Pantry of Alpine is a community-based organization serving the residents of Alpine, Marathon, Terlingua and surrounding areas of Brewster County.  FPA currently provides supplemental food to more than 220 households at no cost to people in need.

The Sunshine House

The Sunshine House in Alpine, Texas is a non-profit Meals on Wheels senior citizen center that provides a safe and friendly place for seniors to enjoy each other's company and share a meal.  They provide a comfortable place for seniors in our community to meet, play games, watch television, use computers and printers or read in the library, and serve a hot, nutritious lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Their doors are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm (excluding holidays).

Frontier CASA
(Court Appointed Special Advocates)

     CASA provides assistance for abused and neglected children by providing factual information to the court on behalf of a child during the CPS legal process.

Permian Basin Community Centers

PBCC provides supports, resources, and opportunities to enable people with mental illness, mental retardation, or chemical dependency to live satisfying, responsible, and productive lives to the fullest extent of their abilities.

Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend

      FCCBB is a non-profit corporation which exists to give safety, support, and counseling to families in crisis.  Services are provided to survivors of family violence, dating abuse, sexual assault, and violent crime.  Their purpose is to eliminate family violence and sexual assault through community education, advocacy for survivors of violence and crisis intervention services.  All services provided by FCCBB are free and confidential.
